Alcoholics Anonymous - AA is One Alcoholic Helping Another.

This aa parrot-ing was uttered by Clar yesterday. I am calling billywshit™ on this statement.

CLar said: "AA is One Alcoholic Helping Another". billywshit™

First things first, Alcoholics Anonymous is about itself
>>The first tradition states "Our common welfare should come first. Personal recovery depends upon A.A. unity.

Second, once the first thing fist is accomplished, Alcoholics Anonymous is about finding god.™
>>The second tradition states, in part, "For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority - A loving god™............

Alcoholics Anonymous is about protecting and sustaining AA, first & foremost.

Once the hive is protected, and the AA prosepct hunters have found god, beware.

Once the hive is protected, AA actively promotes itself in the jails, hospitals and institutions of the United States of America by sending out their prospect hunters.

AA also promotes itself from within since the only requirement to be a "substance abuse counselor" seems to be AA membership and an abuser yourself (the two-hatter). In addition, AA is promoted by the judical and law enforcement communities.

AA and the 12 steps kill some people. As the professor toodled away he left us with the statement that the 12 steps don't work. I agree.

Those, folks, are the FIRST 2 traditions of AA. I don't see shit about helping the "alcoholic" in the first two traditions.

That really is what AA is, a publisher of a dangerous book copyrighted in 1939 that contains some really funny stories of a bunch of drunks.

Oh, almost forgot, this book (big book) contains some dangerous steps of indoctrination to a hokey religious cult.

Have a good day now.

Ambiguity in AA allows the program to be everything and nothing at the same time.
To paraphrase, the statement in question; AA is one alcoholic helping another, consult Wikipedia who defines AA as “an international mutual aid movement”.
Wikipedia who rejects ambiguity violates its own standard by allowing contributors to publish characteristics of the program without illustrating the ambiguous nature of the program itself. They do define AA as a movement which at least leaves leeway for cult characteristics, religious tones, and faith healing definitions.

1. [n] governmental provision of economic assistance to persons in need
2. [n] something that aids or promotes well-being; "for the common good"
3. [n] a contented state of being happy and healthy and prosperous; "the town was finally on the upbeat after our recent troubles"

Common Welfare is the good of the entire community or also known as the "common good."

So I take it you think that AA should be the official religion of the US judiciary system? It actually already is and it is mandated daily and they allow AA missionary trips to jails and prisons to help convert the prospects they so desperately need....

"Tradition 10 - Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy." Please follow orders from the Interchurch Center if you are an AA member and don't comment.
