Nick Stahl, born Nicolas Kent "Nick" Stahl on December 5, 1979 has had quite the time in various rehabs and hounded by the paparazzi in his attempt to escape from addiction. Stahl having roles in such movies as "The Man Without a Face"(co-starring with Mel Gibson at the age of 13), "Bully, Sin City, In the Bedroom" and the HBO series Carnivàle disappeared in June 2012 after checking out of a Los Angeles rehab against the advice of his doctors. After disappearing from rehab in June, his wife, actress Rose Murphy this time decided to not look for him and to concentrate on their daughter Marlo. Rose and Nick legally separated in January 2012 and are going through a custody battle. On July 22, 2012 TMZ reported that the couple is now in contact with each other daily and that Nick is in "treatment" going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.....

Did anyone ever tell Nick Stahl that AA is not "treatment?"
Alcoholics Anonymous is not a "treatment" for addiction, it is a religious confession cult made to look like a "treatment" for alcoholism but it never addresses how to stop drinking and can be very harmful to the pigeons (a.k.a. "prospects" per Bill Wilson) that fall prey to the coercive tactics of the Recovery Industry Cartel looking for life time customers. Nick Stahl is a high profile prospect (a.k.a "pigeon" per Dr. Bob of AA) and will be hounded by the members of AA to seek out other "prospects" to join in on the hunt to fill rehabs and sober homes........
"Tradition 10 - Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy." Please follow orders from the Interchurch Center if you are an AA member and don't comment.

I know him ...I met him on
I know him ...I met him on Tall tales when he was shooting that film in Monument Valley years ago. I am not friends per say with him but I would like to talk to him about other options. He was such a sweet kid. Im sorry to hear this that he has been going to rehabs.
I know a stepper who is a therapists who made it her mission to hound big famous actors to get them on her roster and of course she charged the big bucks for therapy as she poured her AA philosophy on their brains and laid her trip on them as well.
This is the aspect of the industry that I know I need to crack open and shine the light. There are big stars who still drink , thank GOD and don't drink the koolaid like Kelsey Grammer, George Clooney, just to name a few.
The point is we all can help here and get the word out and let the world know how ridiculous AA is and that there are many choices including not going to any meetings and blogging with other ex steppers.

I'm more worried now for him.
I'm more worried now for him. He's better off alone than in a room with psychobabblers telling him he's hopeless.
