Largo, Florida puppeteer Ronald Brown arrested for child pornography and planning to capture and eat children he performed for.

Forums:

Very reminiscent of the arrest and conviction of the AA member and pedophile Randolph Pozdol in Broward County who obtained a position of trust, an even more disturbing story comes out of Largo, Florida in Pinellas County. Ronald Brown was a puppeteer that worked with children all around the Tampa Bay Area and even appeared on TV warning children about pedophiles. He was put in a position of trust by hundreds, if not thousands of people in that Florida retirement community and like Pozdol was caught for his actions on the internet where he was apparently scheming to kidnap a child and eat them.

COPS: Largo puppeteer Ronald Brown wanted to 'cook' and 'eat' children

Largo, Florida -- The details in this case are so deviant and so diabolical the contents of the federal documents are creating a visceral reaction in people.

Those who read the material become sick to their stomachs.

A 57-year-old local puppeteer from Largo is accused of planning to kidnap children -- specifically toddlers -- torture them, rape them, murder them, then cook their body parts on a stove, according to federal documents.

Ronald Brown was busted by federal agents this week and is on a U.S. Marshal hold in the Pinellas County Jail. Brown lives in the Whispering Pines mobile home park in Largo off of 142nd Street.

He is surrounded by children each and every day.

Even though no one answered his door when 10 News arrived, Mr. Brown's minivan was in the driveway. Visible through the window were puppets, party CDs, and a badge from Kidz Zone.

One neighbor, Robin Fuchs, was both terrified and disgusted when she heard the details of the case. She says her children and others play in the area all the time. "They're all passing his house every morning and afternoon. Some parents aren't home and sending their kids on. They don't know at all," she said.

Brown started his puppeteer company in 1992, Puppet Plus. On Facebook, Brown brags about performing in schools and malls, even for the Tampa Bay Rays.

But it's what he's allegedly doing online that has federal agents interested. Brown and another man were chatting, detectives say, about kidnapping kids and eating them, even going so far as to describe, in detail, what the men wanted to do with the body parts. The conversations are graphic and vile.........

What does this story have to do with AA? I realize you placed it in "Off Topic", but this doesn't really even have a place on this forum.

As for why it showed up, ask Google Analytic because it linked the story with child pornography, Florida and Randolph Pozdol in the last week. I am studying the problems in Florida with the actions of Randolph Pozdol and establishing the issues in the Sunshine State with this problem and have found 4 current instances of this problem with AA member Randolph Pozdol, Youth pastor Jeffery London, Youth pastor Raymond Vincent and puppeteer Ronald Brown.

Baseline for the problem of people violating a position of trust in Florida with children in 2012 is:

AA member Randolph Pozdol
Youth pastor Jeffery London
Youth pastor Raymond Vincent
Puppeteer Ronald Brown.

All four of these instances have to do with violating a "position of trust" with children. Ronald Brown and Randolph Pozdol were caught because of internet monitoring. Pastors Raymond Vincent and Jeffery London were caught by police work with the community.

Are you going to say that violations of trust only happen within the fellowship of AA? I don't think you have a clear idea of how many children have their trust violated all over the place all the time, by parents, teachers, clergy, friends, enemies, scout masters, baby sitters, siblings - please, this is so far off any relevant topic that it's just silly.

Maybe you've hit the bottom of the sensationalism barrel. One can only hope.

As for "Are you going to say that violations of trust only happen within the fellowship of AA?" the obvious answer is that with writing about this incident, it obviously doesn't. It is not known if Ronald Brown was or is a member of the cult of Alcoholics Anonymous and you should be happy that I am giving you a different incident to make a comparison with.

If I only reported about AA member Randolph Pozdol who was in the news in Florida at the end of July in 2012, you would claim that I was an "AA hater" (which you have done constantly). The fact of the matter is that I am reporting about what the current news is in the State of Florida about people in a position of trust abusing children. If you don't like it, don't read what I write about and don't read the newspaper.

What, are they not committing disgusting crimes fast enough to fuel your news feed? Jesus Christ.

The secret society of Alcoholics Anonymous and the members they spawn often "cover up" the atrocities committed by their members and the main office of Alcoholics Anonymous at the Interchurch Center in New York routinely send out a letter asking for them to be kept out of the newspaper.

If puppeteer Ronald Brown is an AA member his actions would most likely be attempted to be covered up by the "fellowship" in Largo Florida and the home office at the Interchurch Center to protect the cult. At this time there are no links to Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous in Pinellas county Florida (Home to the infamous Straight, Inc. child abuse camp of Mel Sembler) to Ronald Brown.

Wow. That is like a story right out of Criminal Minds.
Whenever I start to think that they just make up those scripts, a story like this pops up.
