Kaitlin Smith Slater, 24 of of 505 Caswell Kern Road, NC was leaving the Bucked-Up Super Saloon, 1160 Highway 66 South - Kernersville, North Carolina 27284 on Feb. 18, 2011 when she hit Trevor Spencer Prough, 19 while he was walking along U.S. 421 between Jonestown and Peace Haven roads, hours after Slater was celebrating her 24th birthday. Leaving the scene, attempting to hide her damaged car and previous arrests and convictions for DUI in 2009, communicating threats and drug possession landed her a seven years and five months to nine years and eight months in prison sentence by Judge John O. Craig of Forsyth Superior Court. After her release she will be expected to attend Alcoholics Anonymous for 3 years and do 100 hours of community service.

But she was only mandated to AA for three years.....
Julie Bronson of San Antonio Texas only got 6 months and mandated to 10 years of AA meetings and has to wear a scram monitor. They were both sentenced in July 2012. http://orange-papers.org/forum/node/1987
