What's good? What's not so good? How has it been in the first year?
It seems to be getting stronger every month. What's it going to be like in another year?
Old habits really - can't let a birthday go by without a party...lol

"Another Reason Why I Don't Keep A Gun In The House"
"The neighbors' dog will not stop barking.
He is barking the same high, rhythmic bark
that he barks every time they leave the house.
They must switch him on on their way out.
"The neighbors' dog will not stop barking.
I close all the windows in the house
and put on a Beethoven symphony full blast
but I can still hear him muffled under the music,
barking, barking, barking,
"and now I can see him sitting in the orchestra,
his head raised confidently as if Beethoven
had included a part for barking dog.
"When the record finally ends he is still barking,
sitting there in the oboe section barking,
his eyes fixed on the conductor who is
entreating him with his baton
"while the other musicians listen in respectful
silence to the famous barking dog solo,
that endless coda that first established
Beethoven as an innovative genius. " ~ Billy Collins

I received an e-mail from Gerald J Brown of the Baldwin Research Institute. The $20 million defamation lawsuit against AAWS was dismissed years ago by the Judge right after he admitted he was an AA member. Baldwin chose not to appeal this decision, apparently due to lack of resources. The information above was supplied to me by Mr Brown. And so it goes.

Sour Grapes
Sounds like sour grapes. Would be interesting to actually see a copy of the original lawsuit (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) to really know if it was a defamation claim. And a copy of the ruling to really know the reason of the dismissal. The information (second hand) was supplied, but there is no documentation (proof). And so it goes.

First 100 of OPF
Just for grins, tried to figure out who are (or were) the "first 100" of OPF. There appears to be no number 1 (possibly the blog administrator account) and Orange is number 2. So now the survey population is 101.
Lots of blank spots (OPF kills people? LOL!) to start with. Excluding the people who haven't posted in a long time (relapse?) and excluding the people who only recently started posting again (missed the meeting?), the survey says: 6% of the first 100 are still here on OPF.
Of course, this is an unscientific survey using extracted data from OPF. Orange has access to the raw data and can either confirm or deny this survey.

Define "still here" and dig deeper
First off, this is not a "meeting" so your analogy is seriously flawed. Second we have no "weird rituals"in church basements. Thirdly we don't piss in the neighbors bushes or bring down housing values. Fourth, attendance is not mandated by the court system. And so on......

You mean like the liars of AA did with their program of attraction, not promotion? You got it right though, AA is a dangerous place because of the promotion they did to judges across the country to send criminals to the rooms.

Registering for an account does mean allegiance. Also there were many SPAM trolls for virgra, etc... that have been banned. You have Danny B coming back numerous times. You do not have to post to read, so people don't have to login to see the site. The entire idea is flawed, logging into the site does not mean you are the only ones looking.

c) 13 stepping my underage female sponcees.
d) I was on a call to a 2 alarm fire.
e) I am currently earning my GED. I just haven't got around to the math unit yet.
